Making Two Layer Tea… just because it’s so very lovely to look at! Today we take a look at how to make a two layer Black Tea with Lemon. It’s quite magical how the tea layer just floats above the clear / lemon water layer. Lemon tea is quite popular in the Malabar region after a heavy meal, as is Sulaimani tea. Some people refer to lemon tea as ‘Sulaimani’, but to me Sulaimani always contains some spice. You can find the Sulaimani recipe here. The two layer Lemon Tea in this recipe is soothing, rather calming , I must say and wonderful if you have a sore throat. I often make this for myself and my husband whn we are up late on Saturdays, watching our weekly movie. I learned how to make this at Kochi Airport, at midnight when I went to the tea stall and asked for lemon tea. I loved the look of the two layers in the glass. It added to the whole experience. And I really needed the tea at that time, dealing with my two girls who would’nt stop bickering for some reason. I came home and started making it regularly since then. Also, please take a look at my Dancing tea recipe (Tea or Coffee with Milk) as well. Another gorgeous tea recipe and video for you!
